濱田庄司とリーチの友情から始まり、友好都市締結や中学生海外派遣事業、リーチポタリー再建や東日本大震災復興期の益子町地域間交流協会らの民間交流など、遠く海を隔てた２つの場所に今も続く私たちの交流の物語をお伝えします。

The history of exchange between Mashiko and St Ives began with the friendship between Shoji Hamada and Bernard Leach, and even in recent times, their friendship between our communities has continued, for example, through public and private exchange initiatives, as the establishment of a successful friendship town agreement, the establishment of study abroad programs for middle school students, the reestablishment of the Leach Pottery, the assisting with recovery efforts following the Great East Japan earthquake, and more. This exhibition tells the story of our ongoing relationship and its history.
